CSAPS Center for Anthropological, Paleontological, and Historical Studies of Mediterranean Peoples The CSAPS aims to contribute to the advancement of anthropological, paleopathological, paleogenetic, and historical studies. To this end, it promotes and coordinates research on the living conditions and diseases of ancient Sardinian and Mediterranean populations, making use of the most modern biomedical technologies alongside traditional archaeological and historical investigations.The Center also undertakes awareness-raising activities aimed at the safeguarding and protection of direct material sources, such as human skeletal and mummified remains, as well as indirect sources, such as archival and historical-literary documents.
