Center for Research on Auricular Neuromodulation and Complementary Therapies

CERNATEC aims to promote and disseminate studies on vagal and trigeminal neuromodulation performed at the auricular pavilion for therapeutic purposes, as well as on complementary therapies recognized by the WHO and FNOMCEO.

Main activities of the Center include:

  • Theoretical and practical research on various auricular neuromodulation techniques (electrical, magnetic, pressure-based, acupuncture, etc.), both in experimental and clinical models, with the goal of therapeutic applications to various diseases;
  • Theoretical and practical research, in both experimental and clinical settings, on the most widely used and requested complementary medicines: Acupuncture, Phytotherapy, Homeopathy, and Homotoxicology;
  • Promotion of training, information, and continuing education activities on auricular neuromodulation and complementary medicine, with particular focus on their therapeutic clinical applications.
