The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is the highest academic degree in Italy.

It is a study and research programme lasting 3 or 4 years, designed to provide PhD Students with disciplinary and interdisciplinary expertise for advanced scientific research. The programme aims to enhance specific skills related to research management, knowledge of European and international systems, as well as the valorisation of research and intellectual property.
