Second-level Master’s Program in Ultrasound Anatomy and Clinical Aspects of the Face in Aesthetic Medicine (2025–2026) Master’s Program Presentation Video Further Information Objectives: The Second-level University Master’s Program in “Ultrasound Anatomy and Clinical Aspects of the Face in Aesthetic Medicine” aims to provide graduates in Medicine and Surgery, as well as Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, with high-level training in the specific field of ultrasound facial anatomy. This knowledge is fundamental across various areas of clinical practice relevant to their specialties, including aesthetic medicine.Ultrasound represents a key modality for studying living anatomy due to its non-invasive nature, increasing accuracy, and rapid execution, enabled by the continuous development of increasingly advanced probes. It has therefore become an indispensable tool in medical practice. However, effective use of this in vivo morphological investigation technique requires specialized training. The study of ultrasound and clinical anatomy of the face thus offers a significant opportunity for physicians and dentists who wish to perform facial aesthetic treatments safely and effectively. The program emphasizes detailed clinical understanding of individual anatomy, enabling precise interventions and the prevention of adverse events related to insufficient knowledge of the patient’s muscular, vascular, and nervous structures.Duration: 1 yearCredits: 60 ECTS. Attendance of the Master’s program exempts participants from the ECM (Continuing Medical Education) requirement for the academic year.Educational Activities: Lectures, practical exercises, and seminars delivered by university professors, professionals, and field experts. A minimum attendance of 80% is required.Location: University of SassariInternship: Cadaver Lab at ICLO, Verona, for the study of anatomical structures through dissection and comparison with living ultrasound anatomy.Admission Requirements: Open to graduates in Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics.Available Places: Maximum of 20.
