University of Sassari ranks first in Italy among medium-sized state universities in the Censis 2026/27 Ranking

The University of Sassari has secured 1st place in the Censis 2026/2027 ranking among medium-sized state universities, confirming its position as one of the most prestigious and dynamic academic institutions on the national stage.

The Department of Biomedical Sciences contributes to this major recognition with outstanding results in the degree program rankings:

- The Bachelor’s degree in Motor Sciences, Sports and Human Well-being, within the Sports Science subject area, secured 2nd place in Italy, solidifying its status as a program of excellence nationwide.

- The Scientific subject area—which includes the Bachelor’s degrees in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Analysis, and in Biological Sciences—reached 5th place in Italy, reflecting the high quality of education and the daily commitment of professors, researchers, and technical-administrative staff.
