[SCIENCE MONDAY] - In PDAC, miR-361-3p correlates with Cu and miR-216a-5p with Mn, indicating a role of metals in tumor progression and new therapeutic prospects

A study on patients with PDAC revealed significant correlations between microRNAs and metals: miR-361-3p with copper (Cu) and miR-216a-5p with manganese (Mn). These findings suggest a role for metal homeostasis in tumor progression, opening new perspectives for diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers as well as therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating microRNA–metal interactions.
