The Department Takes Part in the Sharper Night

The Sharper Night, organized by the University of Sassari, will also involve the Department of Biomedical Sciences, whose researchers will present six different activities.

Thursday, September 25 – from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, primary and lower secondary school students will take part in two activities:

1) Experimenting: Discovering Starch and Its Digestion
2) Illusions Between Mind and Brain, Between Science and Art

Friday, September 26 – from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, upper secondary school students will explore:

1) Inside Invisible Life: Exploring Cells and Microbes in the Lab
2) Estimating the Trajectory of Aging – Fitness Age

Friday, September 26 – from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, families and participants of all ages will be welcomed to join:

1) Hands-on Lab: DNA Extraction from a Banana
2) How the Brain Works and Emotional Reactions

Our researchers will be there to share different research topics, discuss future challenges, and above all, show how science can improve everyday life.
