Second-level Master’s Program in Aesthetic Medicine (2024–2025)

Objectives: The Second-level University Master’s Program in “Aesthetic Medicine” aims to train the professional figure of the aesthetic physician.
Aesthetic Medicine is a relatively recent and rapidly developing branch of medicine, aimed not at treating specific pathological conditions, but at maintaining and promoting the patient’s overall health and well-being. This is achieved both by educating the patient on healthy lifestyle and dietary habits and by correcting aesthetic imperfections related to aging and sun exposure, which may cause discomfort.
Given the growing demand for medical-aesthetic interventions, it is essential to provide serious and high-quality training programs that prepare highly skilled and qualified aesthetic physicians.
The aesthetic physician can work independently in private practice or within multi-specialty centers, as well as provide consultancy and medical direction in wellness centers, gyms, beauty farms, spa resorts, and similar facilities.

Duration: 1 year
Credits: 60 ECTS. Attendance of the Master’s program exempts participants from the ECM (Continuing Medical Education) requirement for the academic year.
Educational Activities: Lectures, practical exercises, and seminars delivered by university professors, professionals, and field experts. A minimum attendance of 80% is required.
Location: University of Sassari
Internship: Cadaver Lab at ICLO, Verona, for the study of anatomical structures through dissection, correlated with aesthetic medicine injection procedures. Additional clinical and congress-related internship activities are included.
Admission Requirements: Open to graduates in Medicine and Surgery.
Available Places: Maximum of 50. Selection is based on qualifications.
Degree Awarded: Preparation and defense of a final thesis.
Title: Second-level University Master’s Degree in “Aesthetic Medicine”. The Master’s degree has legal recognition and can be registered in the National Registry of the FNOMCEO.
