Aula Magna of the Angelo Roth Institute in Alghero
- 09:00

The second edition of the conference “Accessible Sports Tourism” will be held on 17 September 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Aula Magna of the Angelo Roth Institute in Alghero. The event will focus on accessibility, inclusion, and participation in the tourism and sports sectors.

The initiative aims to promote a model of tourism capable of responding to the needs of individuals and families with specific needs, through the development of genuinely accessible and inclusive services, activities, and opportunities for participation.

The conference represents a further step in the process of strengthening Alghero as an inclusive tourist destination, where the travel experience encompasses not only accessible spaces and facilities, but also opportunities to engage in sports and physical activities, access qualified support services, and fully participate in the destination’s social and cultural life.

The event will bring together institutions, professionals, tourism and sports operators, and local stakeholders, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices and to contribute to a vision of tourism in which accessibility, sport, and inclusion are integral and distinctive elements of the visitor experience.

The second edition of the conference will therefore provide an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among the different stakeholders involved and to explore new perspectives for the development of accessible and inclusive sports tourism, capable of creating concrete opportunities for participation while enhancing the potential of the local area.
